The BRIDGE (Building Readiness for Independent Development, Growth, and Employment) Program at Miami Lakes Educational Center and Technical College delivers inclusive educational pathways for students with unique abilities. Approved as a Florida Postsecondary Comprehensive Transition Program (FPCTP) and a federally recognized Comprehensive Transition and Postsecondary (CTP) program, BRIDGE students receive personalized support to transition seamlessly into postsecondary education by pairing tailored support with rigorous career training; preparing students for high-demand industries, fostering self-determination, and support independent living.
Career and Technical Education Pathways
Through person-centered planning, students explore CTE pathways aligned with their individual goals and abilities. Participants train alongside peers in high-demand technical fields including Medical Assisting and Master Automotive Service Technology, earning industry-aligned certifications that open doors to postsecondary success.
